RSD Black Friday 2025: Here’s What You Need to Know
The most wonderful time of the year is back! And no...it’s not Christmas. It’s RSD Black Friday.
Every Black Friday, Record Store Day returns with a lineup of exclusive releases from your favorite artists, available only at independent record stores. Whether you're hunting for the perfect gift or eyeing a new addition to your own collection, here’s everything you need to know before you head out.

Where to Go
The PNW is home to some incredible record and music shops across so many cities. We’ve compiled a list of some of our favorites, but you can explore even more on RSD’s official store directory.
What to Buy
This year’s RSD Black Friday lineup features exclusive titles from artists like Cage the Elephant, Briston Maroney, Role Model, The Head and the Heart, and many more. We definitely have our personal favorites, but you can check out the full release list and start building your wishlist on their official site.

How to Plan
While some stores have moved away from the traditional Black Friday chaos, RSD keeps the in-store exclusive model alive, bringing people together to celebrate music, community, and physical media.
If you’re hoping to snag a popular release, our advice is simple: arrive early, be respectful to staff and fellow collectors, and cross your fingers. There’s never a guarantee you’ll walk away with the exact record you want, but that’s part of the adventure, and browsing in person often leads to unexpected gems.
Support Your Local Independent Record Stores
Physical media rules. Whether you’re brand new to collecting vinyl or adding to your ever-growing shelf, RSD is a great chance to support the independent shops that keep music culture alive. But don’t make it a once-a-year outing. Follow and visit your favorite record stores throughout the year for new releases, listening parties, and exclusive releases.
