Kelsea Ballerini Lights Up Spokane
Following the release of her deluxe version of her album Patterns, Kelsea Ballerini makes Spokane her second stop along the second leg of her tour. Bringing the energy to the Spokane Arena, Kelsea put on a great show, enjoyable for diehard fans and casual listeners alike. I don't tend to gravitate towards country, but Kelsea's style, set design, and setlist choices made this a well rounded show anyone could have a great time at.
Kelsea Ballerini didn’t disappoint with her song choices either. She did a great job balancing fan favorites and older songs in her discography with the new ones from her album. One of the most powerful moments of the night was her performance of Cowboys Cry Too, her collab with Noah Kahan that recently was nomiated for a grammy. Hearing it live paired with stunning sunset visuals gave the audience a deeper connection and emotional tie to it.
The stage design and production was also a big highlight. Starting off with her song Baggage, Ballerini entered the stage on top of a giant mountain of luggage. The use of screens to display grogeous scenery, song lyrics, and other eye catching visuals made for an interactive and engaging show. She shows that she is a strong performer even in bigger arenas.

As someone who doesn’t frequently listen to country music, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the show. Ballerini’s ability to blend powerful storytelling with high quality production made this a very notable concert.
If you’re a country music fan, this tour is a must-see. But even if you’re not, I’d still highly recommend checking out her live performance if you get the chance, you just might leave as a fan.
